Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2022 at Jones & Son Funeral Home in Richton for Mrs. Etheleen Shattles, age 90, of Richton who died on October 25, 2022.  Dr. Venlon Bradford will officiate the service with burial to follow at Brooklyn-Shattles Cemetery in Brooklyn.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be 8 grandchildren, Addison Shattles, Brennon Shattles, Austin Parnell, Ashtin Parnell, Logan Bradford, Colin Bradford, Graham Bradford and Luke Bradford.

Mrs. Shattles was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Shattles; parents, Charles Houston Shaw and Lucy Merrow Shaw.

She is survived by her son, Vince (Kristy) Shattles of Richton; daughter, Michelle (Tim) Bradford of Winfield, AL; brothers, Samuel Davis Shaw of Bells, Tn, and Bruce Shaw of Louisville, MS; sisters, Shirley Dawson and Charlene McNeill, both of San Antonio, TX; 8 grandchildren, Addison (Madison) Shattles of Richton, Brennon Shattles of Richton, Austin (Madeline) Parnell of State Line, Ashtin Parnell of Richton, Logan Bradford, Colin Bradford, Graham Bradford and Luke Bradford, all of Winfield, AL; and 1 great-grandchild, Paisley Grace Shattles.

Mrs. Shattles was a retired school teacher after 35 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Sand Hill.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2022 at Jones & Son Funeral Home.
