Graveside services for Mrs. Emma Jean Shows Cooley, age, 98, of Gautier, were held Thursday, September 4, 2025 at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery in Ovett.  Mrs. Cooley passed from this life on September 1, 2025 at her residence.  Bro. Barak Stafford officiated the service.  Serving as pallbearers were Shawn Turonis, Sr., Shawn Turonis, Jr., Jackson Jones, Sr., Jackson Jones, Jr., Jakob Jones, and Jace Jones.

Mrs. Cooley was a member of Green's Creek Baptist Church in Petal and a member of the Petal Chapter #325 Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Victor Cooley; parents, Walter Lamar and Emma Lou Shows; brother, B.L. "Buck" Shows; and sisters, Willie Mae Bunch, Vernon Phenon Curry, and Marietta "Pete" Odom.

She is survived by her daughter, Terry Rae Waters (Michael Anthony) Delle of Gautier; grandchildren, Kelly (Shawn Sr.) Turonis of Biloxi and Kara (Jackson Sr.) Jones of Ocean Springs; great grandchildren, Shawn Turonis, Jr., Jackson (Kathia) Jones, Jr., Jakob Jones, Jace Jones, and Emma-Kelly Jones; great great grandchildren, Camila Jones and Mateo Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
