Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in the Jones and Son Chapel of Moselle for Mrs. Elethia Joyce Gardner, age 64, of Coden, AL. Mrs. Gardner passed from this life on June 13, 2025 in Springhill Medical Center of Mobile, AL. Bro. Pat Patterson and Bro. Patrick Patterson will officiate with burial to follow in the Union Cemetery of Ellisville. Pallbearers will be Memphis Patterson, Brody Patterson, Tyler Simms, Carter Simms, Cameron Carter, Avery Carter, Owen Carter and Taylor Williams.

Elethia Joyce was born on July 19, 1960, in Hattiesburg, MS to Robert Daniel and Gladys Bickham Pulliam Holder, Sr. She was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church in Grand Bay, AL. She loved the beach. She loved her family and everyone and helped anyone that was in need. A person who could outdo most people half her age included being a caregiver to the elderly, house cleaner and a cook.

She was preceded in death by grandson, Joshua Allen Johnson and parents. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Gardner of Coden, AL; son, Jeffery Carter (Trayce) of Richton; daughters, Renee Simms (Harold) of Theodore, AL, Gladys Jean Williams (Douglas) of Moselle and Rebecca Patterson (Matthew) of Moselle; 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth Ray Holder (Charlotte) of Ellisville, Robert Daniel Holder, Jr. of Seminary and James Alton Holder (Tina) of Buck Creek and sister, Debra Jane Baylis of Petal.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Moselle.
