Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2025, in the Mt. Zion Cemetery of Richton for Mr. Edward E. McGee, Jr., age 95, of Richton. Mr. McGee passed from this life on June 13, 2025, in the Veteran's Home of Collins, MS. Rev. Gilbert Greer, Rev. Mikey Cooper and Dr. O'Neal will officiate with burial following the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Green, Danny Green, Christopher Green, David Smith, David Dunn, David Grantham, and Malcolm Edwards as alternate.

Edward was born on September 7, 1929 in Greene County to Enoch Edward McGee and Myra Idoma Walley McGee, Sr. He retired after 20 years of service in the United States Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller. He was a music teacher and piano tuner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Clyde McGee and sister, Thelma Bowen.

He is survived by his wife, Rubye E. McGee of Richton; children, Marjorie Green of Williamsburg, KY, Eugene McGee of New Braunfels, TX, Beverly Smith of Lees Summit, MO, Judy Abbott of Las Vegas, NV, Charles H. Dunnam of Richton, Cathy Wise of Richton, Chris Dunn of Richton, David Dunn of Kaplon, LA; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and sister, Velma Kalter of Mobile, AL.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton.
