A visitation will be held for Mr. Edward M. Dye, age 79, of Hattiesburg on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton.  Mr. Dye passed from this life on August 13, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Dye was employed for over 55 years in the auto body repair business.  He and his wife, Billie Sue, had just recently celebrated 44 years of marriage.

Mr. Dye was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Cuevas; father, Edward Dye; sons, James Dye and Jason Dye; brothers, Johnny Paul Dye and Gary Knotts; and sisters, Marie Odom and Ruby Dye.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Sue Dye of Hattiesburg; sons, Chad (Kacey) Pipkins of Ventress, LA, Terry Don (Lillie) Dye of Beaumont, Wayne (Nicole) Dye of Brooklyn, Travis (Nancy) Parsons of Wiggins, Buford Dye of Pine Bluff, AR, and Edward Michael Dye III of Gulfport; daughters, Lacey (Duane) Grice of Brooklyn, Sheila Dye of Moselle, and Dorothy (Chip) Howington of Pine Bluff, AR; sister, Dorothy Perrian of Hattiesburg; brother, Harris (Dinae) Dye of Sumrall; 48 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
