Services for Mrs. Edna Earle Dykes, age 87, of Richton will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton.  Mrs. Dykes passed from this life on July 20, 2023 at her residence.  Bro. Mikey Cooper will officiate the service and burial will follow in Dykes Chapel Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Brannan, Christian Brannan, Bailey Cobb, Josh Smith, John Edwards II, and Michael Cooper.

Mrs. Dykes was retired as a registered nurse from Perry County Hospital after 35 years of service.  She also served as Director of Nursing there for many years.  She was an active member of Rhodes Church of God.  She was  a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Mrs. Dykes was preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Dykes; sister, Bobbie Nell Dykes; and parents, Vardie and Alma Ree Edwards.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Aaron) Brannan and Lori Cobb, both of Richton; grandchildren, Matthew (Sommer) Brannan of Olive Branch, Christian (Gracie) Brannan of Sardis, Bailey (Christin) Cobb of Richton, and Seth Cobb of Jackson; great grandchildren, Layla Brannan, Jack Brannan, and Baylor Cobb; sisters, Pat (Joseph) Odom, Lynn (Jack) Anderson, and Kaye Cooper, all of Richton; and brothers, Jerry (Karen) Edwards and John (Claudette) Edwards, both of Richton.
