Mr. Earl (Gene) Eugene Beeson of Moselle, age 91, passed away peacefully in his sleep, at his home in the early morning of Wednesday, June 10, 2026. He was born in Moselle, MS on August 19, 1934.

Mr. Beeson was preceded in death by his parents, Earl V and Lena Beeson, and his son Michael Eugene Beeson.   He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 1/2 years, Thelma Beeson of Moselle; daughters Cheryl Beeson Johnson (Bobby) of Long Beach, MS and Brenda Beeson Greenwood (Ryc) of Moselle and grandchildren, Rob Johnson III (Maggie) of Carbondale, Il, Zachary Johnson of Memphis, TN, Bridet Greenwood of Moselle, and Andru Greenwood of Moselle.  He is also survived by his sister, Joyce Beeson Jones (Eddie).

As a young man, Gene struck out on his own for Savannah Georgia, where he met and married the love of his life, Thelma Miller. In the Army, he was stationed in France, and Thelma was able to accompany him. They returned to Savannah for a short time before being drawn back to Moselle. Gene was blessed to be able to work at what he truly enjoyed, farming. Throughout his career, he raised cattle, grew wheat, soybeans, and blueberries commercially, as well as an annual garden that kept family supplied with his famous delicious tomatoes.  In addition, he served as Minister of Music for Hattiesburg Church of God, Petal Church of God, Evangel Temple (Laurel) and Kingston Assembly of God (Laurel). Between his faith, family, and farming, he led a full and active life.  He was a dedicated, devout Christian, and never hesitated to share his faith and point others to Christ. His family is comforted knowing that he now rests in the arms of his Savior, completely whole.

A private family graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Moselle Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
