Services for Mr. Dustin Glenn "Pod" Mizell, age 35, of Beaumont, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Thompson Hill Baptist Church in Beaumont.  Mr. Mizell passed from this life on March 30, 2026 in Hattiesburg.  Bro. Phillip Erkhart will officiate the service and burial will follow in Progress Cemetery in McLain.  Serving as pallbearers will be Zachary Johnson, Kyle Williams, Micah Lott, Chad Freeman, Luke Lott, Jake McLeod, Weston Havard, and Trey Tisdale.

Mr. Mizell was a member of First Baptist Church of McLain and attended Piney Woods House of Hope. He worked as a diesel mechanic for the past 12 years and was employed with 3 T's Trucking in New Augusta.  He was an avid fisherman who loved hunting and racing cars, but above all, he cherished the time he spent with his wife, children, and extended family.  Mr. Mizell will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved pawpaw, Dexter Mizell; grandparents, Pervie and Ola Mae Ishee, Orvil and Iva Kittrell, and Paul Walley; cousin, Jerread Freeman; and uncle, Tony Kittrell.

Mr. Mizell is survived by his wife, Victoria Sparks of Runnelstown; children, Mariah, Haylenn, and Kambrie, all of Runnelstown; parents, Shorty and Donald Thurston of Beaumont, and Lee Ishee of McLain; biological father, Perry (Judy) Kittrell of Beaumont; brothers, Austin (Jozie) Lee, Justin (Kinsey) Thurston, and Dylan Thurston, all of Beaumont; niece, Amelia Lee of Beaumont; nephews, Rowan Thurston, Cooper Thurston, and Dawson Thurston (London Byrd), all of Beaumont; great-niece, Lainie Thurston of Beaumont; sisters-in-law, Kristin Sparks of Hattiesburg and Journey Shows of Richton; niece-in-law, Avery Byrd of Richton; and grandmother, Jewel Annette Walley of Beaumont.
