Services for Mrs. Doris Adams, age 85, of Richton will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 6, 2024 at Brewer Baptist Church.  Mrs. Adams passed from this life on May 2, 2024 at the Perry County Nursing Center.  Bro. Jackie Spell will officiate the service and burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Henderson, Ronald Hinton, Jeffery Adams, and Brian Adams.

Mrs. Adams worked at the Federal Reserve Bank in New Orleans for several years and at a stock brokerage firm as well.  She also worked for Coca Cola USA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben and Floy Burnett; daughter-in-law, Barbara Adams; sister, Kathryn Chapman; and brother, R.J. Burnett.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Wayne Adams of Richton; son, Darrell (Erin May) Dougall of Lafayette, LA; stepsons, Jeffery (Khaki Jones) Adams of North Hollywood, CA and Brian Adams of Samson, AL; grandson, Brendan Dougall of Splendora, TX; step grandchildren, Laken Brown, Cidney Adams, and Sam Adams; and 3 great granddaughters.
