Services for Mr. Donnie Prentiss, age 87, of Leakesville, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Faith Presbyterian Church in Leakesville.  Mr. Prentiss passed from this life on March 5, 2025 in Leakesville.  Rev. Eric Kruger and Bro. Ron Pierce will officiate the service and burial will follow in McLeod - Magnolia Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Preston Churchwell, Mondell Prentiss, Robert Prentiss, Carter Breland, Dusty Carr, Lynn Robertson, Rancin Robertson, and Tony Neely.

Mr. Prentiss greatly loved his church and church family.  He enjoyed driving his big truck.  He was a member of the Leakesville Lodge #420 of Masons, and he recently received his 50 year pin.  He was also a member of the Shriners.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hardy and Nina Prentiss; brothers, Russell Prentiss, Dewitt Prentiss, and Jack Graham Prentiss; and sisters, Jessie Hicks, Vesta Brewer, and Elizabeth McMillan.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Fannie Kate Prentiss of Leakesville; daughters, Gwendolyn Carol (Edward) Luker of Hartselle, AL, Jacklyn Dee (Joe Arnold) Brewer of Gulfport, MS, and Henrietta Renee (Prentiss) Smith of Petal, MS; a multitude of children and great grandchildren; and sister, Reba Devine of Fairhope, AL.
