Services for Mr. Donnie Ray Davis, age 81, of Lumberton will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, June 12, 2026 at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, Mississippi.  Mr. Davis passed from this life on June 7, 2026 in Laurel, Mississippi.  Dr. John Kaiwi will officiate the service.

A faithful member of Olive Baptist Church in Lumberton, Mr. Davis lived a life grounded in faith, service, and dedication. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, a chapter of his life that reflected his courage and commitment to others. Following his military service, he built a respected career as a welder, a trade he practiced with skill and pride for many years.

In his leisure time, Mr. Davis found great joy in the outdoors. He was an avid hunter who especially enjoyed searching for arrowheads, spending countless hours exploring the woods and fields he loved.  Mr. Davis will be remembered for his quiet strength, steadfast faith, love of family, and the many stories shared from a life well lived. His legacy of hard work, patriotism, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Dora Belle Davis; and sister, Susan Williams.

He is survived by his sons, Brian Keith Davis of Poplarville, James Michael (Melanie) Davis of Hattiesburg, and John Mitchell Davis of Poplarville; grandchildren, Allie Gwynn Davis and Madison Claire Davis, both of Hattiesburg, John Cameron Davis and Brooke Davis, both of Poplarville, and Abby Davis of Louisiana; and sister, Rhonda (Steven) Williams of Petal.
