A much-loved wife, mother, Nonna, daughter, and sister, Donna Ruth Broome Nobles, 67, of Purvis, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at Asbury Hospice House on March 27, 2026 at 11:05am, with her family by her side. Donna was a true warrior, having courageously survived a massive stroke and battled breast cancer over the past 16 years with unwavering strength and faith.

She was born on February 19, 1959, in Bassfield, Mississippi, and had resided in Purvis for the past three years. Donna graduated from Bassfield High School in 1977. She dedicated many years of her life to working in banking and later at Sumrall Drug Store, where she was known for her kindness and friendly spirit.

Donna was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church in Sumrall, MS. She was a devoted prayer warrior who deeply loved the Lord and her family. She found great joy in playing the piano, singing, and spending precious time with her granddaughters and loved ones. Her faith, warmth, and gentle spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Howard Curtis Nobles, Jr. of Purvis; her daughter, Hannah Fairley and husband Chip of Purvis; her cherished granddaughters, JoAnna and Abigail; her sisters, Wanda Broome (Everette) of Bassfield, Beth Haden (Lavon) of Sumrall, Lynn Stuart of Bassfield, and Patsy Burge (Clay) of Bassfield; her brothers, Tony Broome (Linda) of Bassfield and Carroll Broome (Helen) of Bassfield; along with a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elder James Broome and Juanita Broome. A memorial service will be held at Rock Hill Baptist Church on March 30, 2026 at 2pm. Interment will follow at Cherished Acres Cemetery in Purvis, Mississippi. The family will receive friends at Rock Hill Baptist Church on March 29, 2026 from 5-9pm.

Donna will be remembered for her steadfast faith, loving heart, and the joy she brought to her family and friends. Her legacy of love and strength will live on in all who knew and loved her.
