Graveside services for Mr. Donald E. "Don" McCraney, age 92, of Richton, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Prospect Cemetery.  Mr. McCraney passed from this life on September 30, 2024 in Hattiesburg.  Bro. Kenneth McLendon will officiate the service.  Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Cooper, Thomas Walters, Markus Cooper, and Dale Cooper.

Mr. McCraney was retired from Hood Industries where he was a boilermaker operator.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Smith McCraney; father, John Henry McCraney, Jr.; mother, Mattie L. Reddin McCraney Dye; sisters, Louise Ward Howe, Sally Lurlene Campbell, Christine Self; and brothers, John Henry McCraney, Jr., Judas Hollis McCraney,  James Alphis McCraney, and Charles Patrick McCraney.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Denise McCraney of Richton; son, Johnny E. McCraney of Richton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
