Services for Ms. Dianne Smith, age 70, of Richton, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Jones and Son chapel in Richton.  Ms. Smith passed from this life on June 5, 2025 at her residence.  Bro. Mikey Cooper will officiate the service and burial will follow in Dykes Chapel Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Branning Dykes, Doug Dykes, James Wayne Dykes, and John Henry Edwards.

Ms. Smith devoted over 20 years of her life to nursing, working primarily at Hattiesburg Convalescent Center, where she eventually retired as Director of Nursing. Known for her dedication, compassion, and leadership, Dianne made a lasting impact on countless lives throughout her career.  A longtime and faithful member of Rhodes Church of God, she lived a life guided by love, service, and faith. More than anything, she cherished time spent with family,  whether it was a quiet visit or a joyful gathering, those moments meant the world to her.  Dianne will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jewell and Bobbie Nell Dykes; and brother, Ricky Dykes.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelly (James) Jones of Richton; son, Joshua (Bridget) Smith of Canton; grandchildren, Annabelle Jones of Richton, Isaac Smith, Claire Smith, and Emma Smith, all of Canton; and brother, Kenneth Dykes of Richton.
