Services celebrating the wonderful life of Diana (Carolyn) Williams, age 85, of Leakesville will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Faith Presbyterian Church in Leakesville.  Mrs. Williams passed from this life on August 9, 2023.  Rev. Erick Kruger and Rev. Ron Pierce will officiate the service and burial will follow in the Thomas Family Cemetery.

Carolyn accompanied her husband as an Army wife for 30 years.  Carolyn worked for many years with the Com-Sat Corporation in Washington D.C.  and then joined her husband in his CPA firm where she managed the Richton branch office for many years.  She was an active member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Leakesville, and truly loved music.  She was an avid piano and clarinet player and sang in choirs all over the world.  She enjoyed art, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Eva Byrd; and siblings, Yvonne Byrd, Virginia Sangster, Dora Jean Pickett Bourne, Harry F. Byrd, Lloyd "Buddy" Byrd, James T. "Ducky" Byrd, and Richard "Tim" Byrd.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Cary E. Williams of Leakesville; children, Van (Katherine) Williams of Ocean Springs and Karen (Stan) Skipper of Niceville, FL; grandchildren, Stanley Skipper, Jr., Olivia Skipper, Karl Skipper, Lacey Williams (Billy Tyrrell), Margaret (Charles) Maddox, Claire Williams, and Alice Williams; and great grandchildren, Sara Byrd, Della, and Teddy as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation for Mrs. Williams will be held at Faith Presbyterian Church from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in honor of Carolyn can be made to Faith Presbyterian Church or to a charity of your choice.
