Services for Mr. Dewitt Lott, age 87, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 26, 2024 at Jones and Son Chapel in Beaumont.  Mr. Lott passed from this life on February 20, 2024 in Hattiesburg.  Bro. Delton Parker and Bro. Wendell Helton will officiate the service and burial will follow in Lott Cemetery.   Serving as pallbearers will be Rodney Lott, Robert Lott, Luke Lott, Tim Lott, Matthew Lott, and Craig Lott.

Mr. Lott was a member of Fairhope Baptist Church.  He was a retired carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Mary Lott; brothers, James, Alfred, Edmond, Wayne, and Charles Lott; and sisters, Minnie Lee Creech, Eddie Jean Lee, and Lilly Roberts.

He is survived by his children, Levetta Ruth Elke of Union Bridge, MD, Renee (Robin) Byrd of Beaumont, and Keith Dewitt (Connie) Lott of Beaumont; grandchildren, Shanna (Mike) Mossberg of Fredrick, MD, Dakota Oneal of Austin, TX, Andrew Byrd of Niceville, FL, Brent (Bree) Sylvester of Sumrall, and Zachary (Kristen) Lott of Petal; great grandchildren, Kourtney Mossberg, Isaih Mossberg, Faith Mossberg, Jacob Mossberg, Lydia Mossberg, Noah Mossberg, Bella Villafranco, Lylah Byrd, Noah Sylvester, Gwynevere Sylvester, Asher Lott, and Addy Lott; brothers, Mac Lott and Stennis Lott, both of Beaumont; and sisters, Mary Alice (JB) Price of Richton and Lillian (Wesley) Breland of Hattiesburg.
