Services for Mr. Dennis R. Culpepper, age 67, of Leakesville, will be held at 5:00 p.m., Friday, August 7, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Leakesville.  Rev. Richard Stillwell and Rev. David Clark will officiate the service and burial will follow in Magnolia - Mcleod Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Randy "Bo" Brewer, David Helton, Dillon McInnis, Mitchell "Bear" Gray, Timmy Howell and Hunter McMillon.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Neel and Wayne Breland.

Mr. Culpepper attended First Baptist Church of Leakesville. He dedicated much of his working life to operating heavy equipment, serving with Beat 1 of Greene County for more than 10 years. Prior to that, he spent over 30 years working in the oilfield as a heavy equipment operator, where he was known for his strong work ethic and skill.

Outside of work, Mr. Culpepper found great joy in the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening and working on his tractor at the family farm. He loved spending time with his family, and looked forward to their yearly beach trips where he would spend most of his time under the shade, in the swing or watching the weather channel.  Whether working or sharing time with family and friends, he appreciated the simple pleasures of life and the satisfaction of a hard day's work.

Mr. Culpepper will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his career, and the hobbies he loved so dearly. His life was marked by perseverance, kindness, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors, leaving lasting memories with all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walt and Macie Culpepper.

He is survived by his wife, Cheri Turner Culpepper of Leakesville; children, Joni (Chris) McMillon of Leakesville, Jennifer (Curt) Edwards of McLain, and Danny Culpepper; grandchildren, Mary Lynn (Max) Garner of New Augusta, Hunter McMillon of Leakesville, Lilly Edwards of McLain, Ryder McMillon of Leakesville and Kenley Edwards of McLain; brother, Richard W. (Kathy) Culpepper of Myrick; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
