Graveside

2:00 p.m.

INTERMENT:   Pine Hill Baptist Church Cemetery

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Pine Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, for Mr. Delton Bounds, age 82, of Sumrall.  Mr. Bounds passed from this life on February 22, 2023 at his residence.  Bro. Hunter Phillips will officiate the service.  Pallbearers will be Justin Grantham, Justin Donaldson, Thomas Hall, James Donaldson, Sam Bennett, Charles Hennis, and Charles Bounds as alternate.

Mr. Bounds loved gardening and working outdoors.

Mr. Bounds was preceded in death by his parents, Acey and Fannie Bounds; sisters, Lillian Bounds, Lois Whiddon, Diane White, and Lucille Fletcher; brothers, Liston, Lavon, and Eldon Bounds; sons, Hollis and Mitchell Bounds; and first wife, Della Caroline Dickinson Bounds.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Bounds of Midway; daughter, Teresa (Darrell) Grantham of Midway; sons, Mark (Vickie) Bounds of Columbia and Scotty Bounds of Midway; step-daughters, Michelle (James) Donaldson of Midway and Angie (Thomas) Hall of Rawls Springs; step-sons, Mark (Mary) Dickinson of Midway and David Dickinson of Florida; brothers, Lonnie (Readonna) Bounds of Soso and Joey (Carolyn) Bounds of Houston, TX; and 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
