Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024, in the Jones and Son Chapel of Moselle for Mr. David Eric Murdock, age 54, of Petal. Mr. Murdock passed from this life on October 31, 2024, in New Orleans, LA. Bro. Valton Douglas will officiate with a private burial following the service.

David was born July 12, 1970, to George Eric and Mavis Holmes Murdock. He was a heavy lift crane operator in the offshore oil industry for 36 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mavis Murdock. He is survived by his father, Eric Murdock of Moselle; stepmother, Carol Murdock of Moselle; brother, Brian Murdock of Petal; long-time companion, Robyn Loewer of Petal; aunts, Gayle Bullock of Moselle and Rhonda (Ron) Crabtree of Houston, TX and niece, Anna Murdock of Ellisville.

David will be forever missed by his family and many, many life-long friends. If you knew him, you loved him.

He loved animals. In lieu of flowers, the family request you to donate in his memory to an animal shelter.
