Services honoring the life of Mr. Darrick Edwards, age 63, of Richton, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2025 in the Richton chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in the Sunset Cemetery in Richton.

Darrick worked for over 40 years at Georgia Pacific, mostly as a crane operator, until his retirement last year.  He loved the outdoors, fishing, farming, gardening, and working with his cows.  He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and will be fondly remembered for his unique Christmas decorations every year.  Darrick was a hard worker that enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Hollinghead and his father and step-mother, Cecil Ray and Shirley Edwards.

He is survived by his children, Bryan (Kelsey) Green of Lumberton and Laken Edwards of Runnelstown; his grandbabies, Abygail Green, Dakota Green, and Asher Thomas; his brother, Roger Hollinghead of Ocean Springs; his sister, Shelia McMurry of Richton, and his special friend, Holly Laurich of Richton.

Visitation for Mr. Edwards will be held from 5:30 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, also at Jones and Son Funeral Home.
