Services for Mr. Darrell Rayburn Williams, age 47, of Neely, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday,  August 7, 2025 at Neely Baptist Church.  Mr. Williams passed from this life on August 1, 2025 at his residence.  Bro. Reggie Manning and Bro. Nick Freeman will officiate the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Torrie Smith, Chris Meadows, Kasyn Ellisor, James Williams, Stanley Leon Williams, Randy Pilgrim, and Dakin Cochran as alternate.

As a welder in the construction industry, Mr. Williams dedicated many years of his life to building and shaping the world around him. His hands told the story of long days of hard work and his work ethic was matched only by his deep appreciation for nature.  He found his greatest peace near the water—fishing on the river, soaking in the stillness, and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. Whether casting a line or sitting by the bank, the river was where he felt most at home.  Family was everything to him and he cherished every moment spent with his children, nieces, and nephews, often welcoming them with a warm smile and a big hug.  Mr. Williams leaves behind a circle of family and friends who will miss the love he gave so freely.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Haleigh Denise Williams; and parents, Rayburn and Sue Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Williams of Neely; children, Rustin Williams, Dakin Cochran and Kesnie Cochran, all of Neely; grandson, Wilder Williamson of Neely; granddaughter on the way, Hallie Cochran; sister, Jill (Travis) Cumbie of Neely; and brother, Greg Williams of Neely.
