A memorial service for Mr. Daniel Garris, age 50, of Richton, will be held at a later date.  Mr. Garris passed from this life on December 24, 2025 in Meridian, Mississippi.

He was a father of three and "Pepaw" to ten grandchildren whom he loved deeply. Though life took him down difficult roads, he was a man remembered for the moments of joy, laughter, kindness, and love he shared with many people around him. Those memories remain cherished and will forever live on in their hearts.

Daniel will be remembered not for his struggles, but for the love he gave so freely, the selflessness he showed, the food he threw on the grill, his loud belly laugh, his great singing voice, and the memories that time can never erase. He was a wanderer at heart, drawn to the journey of life. He loved to fish, watch Alabama football, and so much more.

He was born to Dollie and Joe Garris, who preceded him in death; along with his two nieces, Adeline Garris and Clarice Allen.

He is survived by his children, Kristen Garris (Kendall McLeod), Kirkland Garris (Williams), and Kaylee Garris (Tyler Helmbrecht); his ten grandchildren; his siblings, Joseph DeWayne Garris, David (DJ) Garris, and Donna Allen; and many friends who knew and loved him

He will always be missed, loved, and forever remembered.
