Services for Mr. Daniel Ray Brewer, age 84, of Richton will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 31, 2025 at Union Grove Assembly of God.  Mr. Brewer passed from this life on January 27, 2025 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  Rev. Manuel Henderson, Rev. Scott Morris, and Rev. Chris Adcock will officiate the service and burial will follow in Mulberry Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Zach Crane, Patrick West, Maddox Ross, Justin Bufkin, Ricky Simmons, and Hunter Brewer with Layton Walley and Brent Brewer as alternates.

Mr. Brewer was known by most as "D.R.".  He worked at Ingalls Shipbuilding and then offshore.  He eventually went into the logging industry where he was known as one of the most dedicated truck drivers ever known.  Dan knew nothing but hard work and his family was his whole world.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janette Brewer; daughter, Teresa Brewer; parents, Curt and Susie Brewer; and brothers, Pete Brewer and Colon Brewer.

He is survived by his wife, Alma Brewer of Richton; sons, Billy (Natasha) Brewer of Richton, Jason (April) Brewer of Big Point, Jeffery (Rose) Brewer of Richton, Craig (Shelia) Brewer of Richton, Brent (Tammy) Brewer of Richton, and Steve (Linda) Brewer of Richton; daughter, Tracy (Bo) Henderson of Richton; grandchildren, Orie (Meagan) Brewer of Richton, Brooklyn (Anthony) Spradlin of Richton, Hayden (Katie) Brewer of Columbus, Jolee Brewer of Moss Point, Jace Brewer of Moss Point, Emma Brewer of Big Point, Shelby (Brandon) Shows of Big Point, Nate (Laura) Brewer of Carnes, Cyle (Heather) Brewer of Richton, Kayla (Joey) Stringer of Cullman, AL, Adam (Deziree) Brewer of Richton, Lindsey (Mitch) Jenkins of Richton, Jesse Brewer of Richton, Mikah (Chris) Palmer of Richton, and Amelia (Codi) Miller of Richton; 23 great grandchildren; and siblings, Francis Edwards, Sherman Brewer, Shirley (Robert) Edwards, Selma (Donald) Shows, Pat Hudson, Betty Blue, and Joe Brewer.
