Services for Mrs. Dana Herrington, age 66, of Ovett, will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton. Mrs. Herrington passed from this life on November 8, 2023 at her residence.  Bro. Rayborn Huff will officiate the service and burial will follow in the Herrington Family Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Archie Herrington IV, Ashley Black, Vincent Herrington, Alex Black, Alecia Black, Glenn Tucker, and Mark Black as alternate.

Mrs. Herrington loved her two dogs, Moonpie and Abby.  She was a homemaker who loved to cook, paint, draw, crochet, and sew.

Mrs. Herrington was preceded in death by her parents, William and Agnes James; siblings, June, Frank, Bobby, Sam, Elsie, Blanche, Grace, Elroy, Elmo, and Lois; son, Alvin Herrington; and granddaughter, Amelia Black.

She is survived by her husband, Archie Herrington, Jr. of Ovett; sons, Archie (Lillian) Herrington III, Jeremey (Nina) Herrington, and Clinton Herrington, all of Ovett; daughter, Amanda Herrington (Mark) Black of Ovett; sisters, Veleda Pipkins of Moss Point, Sandra (John) Carpenter of New Caney, TX, and Lorine Entrekin of Ellisville; grandchildren, Charles Herrington, Archie (Catie) Herrington IV, Ashley Black, Vincent Herrington, Alex Black, Alecia Black, Alijah Black, Mila Herrington, and Avyana Black; and great grandchildren, Ava Herrington, Faith Ann Herrington, and Benjamin Herrington.
