Services for Mr. Dakota Ray Creel, age 25, of Richton will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Dykes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Richton.  Bro. Barry Sullivan and Bro. Thomas Cochran will officiate the service and burial will follow in Dykes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Bennett Best, Caleb Brewer, Derin Wade, Blake Walley, Phillip Wade, Braxton Wade, Shane Dykes and Dewayne Hollinghead.

Dakota Ray Creel, born on September 22, 1998, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, left this world far too soon on April 17, 2024. He was a precious son of Tony Creel and Linnette Mayo; a cherished father to his daughters, Joycelynn Harper Creel and Jennifer Lillian Ingram; a dear brother to Dewayne Hollinghead and Lineta Pulliam. Dakota resided in Richton, in the Dykes Chapel community.

Dakota's life was filled with love for his family and friends, and his laughter could light up any room. Dakota was made for the outdoors. Fishing, riding four wheelers, working on trucks or cars, tending to his animals and pets were a few of the things Dakota took pleasure in.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jimmy and Mary Lou Creel (Papa & Nanny), Thomas Mayo (Papa), and Roy Cooley (Paw Paw); uncle, Raymond Goolsby; and cousin, John Doss Creel.

He is survived by his daughters, Joycelynn Creel and Jennifer Ingram; parents, Tony Creel and Linnette Mayo; brother, Dewayne Hollinghead; sister, Lineta (Tony) Pulliam; grandmother, Jeanette Cooley; uncles, Richard Creel, John Creel (Inez), David Creel (Chris), Lavon Langley (Kathy); aunt, Kieta Goolsby; nieces and nephews, Dawson Layke Burch, Bailey Pulliam, and Lauren Grace Pulliam; cousins, Courtney (Archie) Sims, Kahlin Creel, Shelby (Aaron) Carter, Colby Creel, Joshua Cochran, Vance Goolsby, and Heather Goolsby; and girlfriend, Starla Runnels.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. – until, Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Dykes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

Jones and Son Funeral Home of Richton is in charge of services.
