Services for Mr. Charles Edward Luke, age 31, of Laurel will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Moselle Memorial Baptist Church.  Mr. Luke entered the gates of Heaven on February 2, 2024.  Bro. Austin Horton and Bro. Rich Gray will officiate the service and burial will follow in Moselle Memorial Gardens.  Serving as pallbearers will be Ian Riser, Justin Hill, Tony Bice, Justin Phillips, McCain Walters, Issac Walters, Jason Walters, and Mason McNeer.  Serving as honoray pallbearers will be the members of Wausau Hunting Club.

Charles was a loving husband, father, and friend. He was born on February 12, 1992 and raised by his loving parents, Tom and Brenda Walters. Charles was a 2010 graduate of South Jones High School where he played football for the South Jones Braves. He was married to Lindsay Jones on July 28, 2012. Charles is the father to two beautiful girls, Carter and Carsyn, who were the center of his whole world.  He loved two things almost as much as his girls, hunting and softball!  Charles was an avid hunter.  He was an excellent turkey hunter and fisherman as well. Charles' absolute favorite thing to do was watch his oldest daughter, Carter, play softball, and he couldn't wait until his youngest, Carsyn was old enough for T-ball. He loved helping out with his daughter's softball team and coaching at the Laurel Sportsplex. The last two seasons he coached, he lead the "HotShots" to win the league championship. He was a self proclaimed "dugout dad" for the wrecking crew.

To know Charles was to love him. He was kind and tender hearted. He could talk to anyone for hours and he never met a stranger.

He was a welder at Hol-Mac corporation. He worked his way from running a grinder to being a group leader. He was an excellent welder and leader at Hol-Mac. He had an excellent work ethic and worked very hard to provide for his wife and children.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Walters; and special aunt, Kay Spratlin.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Lindsay; his daughters, Carter Grace and Carsyn Olivia; his father, Tom Walters; brothers, Thomas (Daphne) Walters and Rick (Danielle) Walters; sister, Bethany (Jason) Casey; sister-in-laws, Daphne and Danielle; mother-in-law and father-in- law, Billy and Linda Jones; brother-in-law, Justin Jones; family member, Lynn Odom; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Charles Luke was a special man. There aren't many like him. He was loved deeply and loved others deeply.
