Graveside services for Mr. Chance "Willie" Courtney, age 38, of Petal, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 10, 2023 at Walters Cemetery in Runnelstown. Mr. Courtney passed from this life on April 4, 2023 at his residence.  Bro. Herbert Wiggers and Bro. Danny Ray Chambliss will officiate the service.  Serving as pallbearers will be Aaron Mills, Alex Mills, Devon Bradley, Thomas McCarty, Dalton Breland, Cory Scronce, and Chris Ingram as alternate.

Mr. Courtney was a self-employed diesel mechanic and a graduate of Pearl River College.  He loved music and was a talented singer.  He loved to cook and could always be found around a grill or a pot of gumbo.

Mr. Courtney is survived by his father, Charles Edward "Chuck" Courtney of Runnelstown; mother, Sandra Kay Vince Courtney of Tylertown; sisters, Sharley McCarty of Runnelstown and Jessica Bedwell of Tylertown; nieces, Hanna Bedwell and Tobi McCarty; and nephew, Dalton Breland.
