Services for Mr. Cecil Ray Edwards, age 87, of Richton, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Central Missionary Baptist Church in Richton.  Mr. Edwards passed from this life on September 10, 2024 at his residence.  Joe McMurry, Jr., Bro. Shean Piper, J.W. Cooper, and Kee Dykes will officiate the service and burial will follow in Edwards Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Kee Dykes, Kyle McMurry, Austin McMurry, Taler Dykes, Hunter Dykes, and Canton McMurry.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Carson McMurry, Hendrixx Dykes, John Reid Coleman, and Liam Jones.

Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his daughter, Celia Ann James; parents, Willis and Gracie Edwards; and sister, Mary Helen Cooper.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Edwards of Richton; daughter, Shelia Rae (Joe) McMurry, Jr. of Richton; son, Darrick Edwards of Richton; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
