Graveside services for Mrs. Carolyn A. Barr, age 87, of McLain, were held Monday, January 13, 2025 at New Life Baptist Church Cemetery in McLain. Bro. Jerry Rawls officiated the service.  Mrs. Barr passed from this life at her residence on January 9, 2025.  Serving as pallbearers were Shane Hesterman, Paul Barr, Jr., Noah Eason, Dillon Hesterman, James England III, Tommy Mathis, Mark Corey, and Joe Corey.

Mrs. Barr was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.  She was a guiding light to all and dedicated to her family, always putting others before herself.  She was a member of New Life Baptist Church in McLain.  She loved the Lord and is now rejoicing with those who went on before her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Barr, Sr.; daughter, Lynne Barr; parents, Rubye and Carl Goff; and brothers, Ronald Dale Goff and C.W. Goff.

She is survived by her son, Paul Barr, Jr. of Tuscaloosa, AL; daughter, Brenda (David) Jenkins of Neely; grandchildren, James England III of Leakesville, AShley (Shane) Hesterman of Brooklyn, Kristen Dedeaux of Ocean Springs, and Tara Reese of Panola; 7 great grandchildren; and sister, Sue (Greg) Scarbrough fo Chatom, AL.
