Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2022, in the Jones and Son Chapel of Moselle for Mr. Carlis Alvin Thrash, age 85, of Moselle who passed from this life on August 22, 2022, at Merit Health Wesley. Elder Michael Miller and Bro. Charles Davis will officiate with burial to follow in the County Line Cemetery of Ellisville. Pallbearers will be Robert Reeves, Preston Graham, PJ Graham, Richard Ellis and John Critz. Honorary pallbearer will be Russell Ellis.

Carlis enjoyed working as a mechanic. He also enjoyed visiting with family and friends who lived close by and  traveling to Jacksonville to visit with family. He loved watching the girls in barrel racing and other events.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Eva Lee Thrash; son, Carlis Michael Thrash; sister, Mary Lou Thrash and brothers, Winston Alvin and Charles Thrash.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Thrash of Moselle; sons, Carl Alvin (Amy) Thrash of Wiggins and Charles McNeil of Moselle; daughter, Andrea Carol Thrash Scruggs of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Jeremy (Danielle) Scruggs, Nelson (Natalie) Scruggs, Andrew Scruggs, Drake Alexander Thrash, Rheanna (Robert) Reeves, Tessa McKayla Holcomb, Shawn Michael Thrash, and Brandon Temple and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Jones and Son Funeral Home.
