Ms. Carla G. Woods, 68, of Port Orchard, Washington, passed from this life on November 17, 2025 in Richton, Mississippi.

Ms. Woods was a beloved educator and gifted quilting artist. She dedicated more than 20 years of her life to teaching in Louisiana, touching countless students with her patience, warmth, and unwavering belief in the power of learning.  Outside the classroom, she poured her creativity into quilting. This was an art form she mastered with both skill and heart. Her quilts, each stitched with care, reflected her love of color, tradition, and storytelling. Those who knew her will remember not only her artistry but the generosity with which she shared her craft.  Her family will forever cherish her steady presence, her laughter, and the beauty she brought into the world.  Her legacy continues in the students she taught, the quilts she created, and the many lives she brightened through her kindness and dedication.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Sarah Frances Crowley.

She is survived by her son, Nathaniel Woods of Port Orchard, WA; grandson, Everett Carlton (Anna Belle Whitefoot) Woods of Port Orchard, WA; great grandson, Wells Whitefoot Woods of Port Orchard, WA; and brother, Michael Randall Crowley of Richton, MS.
