Services for Mrs. Callie Scarbrough Walley, age 88, of Richton will be held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton.  Mrs. Walley passed from this life on June 29, 2025 in Hattiesburg.  Rev. I.D. Everette, Rev. Evans Freeman, Rev. Myron Schilling, and Rev. Chuck McLain will officiate the service and burial will follow in Eastside Baptist Church Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Jeffery Freeman, Trevor Rowell, Jericho Dickenson, Caster Page, Aiden Bordelon, Elijah Rome, and Dawson Freeman.

A devoted member of First United Pentecostal Church in Leakesville, Mrs. Walley was a woman of deep faith and unwavering love for her family. She spent many years working at Mid South Manufacturing as a Zipper Stop, where her dedication and work ethic left a lasting impression.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister — the heart of her home and a constant source of comfort and strength. Known for her incredible cooking and baking, she found joy in the kitchen, often sharing homemade meals and sweet treats with those she loved. She was especially known for her homemade jellies, which she made with care and generously shared with family and friends.

Mrs. Walley will be remembered for her kind heart, her strong spirit, and the way she made everyone feel welcome and cared for. Her legacy of love, faith, and generosity will live on through the lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bobo" Walley; son, Eugene Rowell; great grandchild, Dakota Freeman; and 8 brothers and 2 sisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Rachel Freeman of Richton; son, J.R. (Christy) Rowell of New Augusta; 8 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sisters, Annie Maude Snowden of Semmes, AL and Ruth Cooley of Bay St. Louis; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
