Graveside services for Mr. C.B. Hinton, age 86, of Hattiesburg, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Seminary Baptist Church Cemetery in Beaumont.  Mr. Hinton passed from this life on February 8, 2025 at his residence.  Rev. Steve Platt will officiate the service.

Mr. Hinton retired as an honored veteran of the United States Army where he served for more than 30 years. He served four tours of duty in Vietnam and he also served in Korea.  He retired as a sargeant first class.  He was also an ordained pastor who loved God.

He was preceded in death by his beloved of 56 years, Gladys Arlene Roseland Hinton; second wife, Judith Kelly Hinton; daughter, Martha Grace Brown; son, Charles David Hinton; father, Carl B. Palmer; and mother, Icie Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Hinton of Hattiesburg; sons, John (Connie) Hinton of Aransas Pass, TX, Robert (Dawn) Hinton of Streator, IL, Steven Hinton of Ottawa, IL, Todd (Janet) Nelson of Hattiesburg, MS, and Tyson (Christy) Nelson of Monticello, MS; grandchildren, Briana Latham of Azle, TX, Ashley McGraw of Weimer, TX, Ciara-Lyn Starkey of Camdenton, MO, Dallyce Downey of Sunrise Beach, MO, Jeremy Brown of Dallas, TX, Christopher Brown of Dallas, TX, David P. Donohue of Hanover Park, IL, Dustin J. Donohue of Streator, IL, and Desirae D. Donohue of Streator, IL; granddaugher-in-law, Chasity Brown of Dallas, TX; 8 great grandchildren; son-in-law, David Brown of Dallas, TX; and sister, Charlotte (Wayne) Skinner of Satsuma, AL.
