Services will be held for Bro. William C. "Bill" Nobles, age 95, of Hattiesburg, at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Jones and Son Chapel in Hattiesburg.  Bro. Nobles passed from this life on September 12, 2023 at Bedford Care Center in Hattiesburg.  Bro. Mark McArthur, Bro. David Graham, and Bro. Jim Chidester will officiate the service and burial will follow in the Community Baptist Church Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Chidester, Brian Nobles, Chris McArthur, Will Nobles, Keith Nobles, and Jordan Nobles.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Barry Bigham and Fabio Araurz.

Bro. Nobles enjoyed preaching the word of God and making eyeglasses.

Bro. Nobles was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Nobles; grandchild, Jaime Chidester; and great grandchild, Sean Nobles.

He is survived by his children, Pam (Jim) Chidester of Acworth, Ga, Gail (Mark) McArthur of Sumrall, Lisa (Curtis) Shaffer of Hattiesburg, Phillip (Betty) Nobles of Hattiesburg, and Calvin (Thomasyne) Nobles of Sumrall; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, feel free to donate Gideon Bibles in memory of Bill and Shirley Nobles.  Through Shirley's faithful prayers and the Gideon Bibles, Bro. Bill gave his life to Christ.
