A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Jones & Son Funeral Home for Mrs. Brenda Mitchell, age 66, of Richton.  She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and family on February 13, 2025 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Bro. Jimmy Arender will officiate the service.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Daniel Mitchell of Richton; daughter, Jeannie (Robbie) Penton of Petal; son, Paul (Elsa) Carona of Hammond, LA; daughters, Katie (Jared) Jones of Raleigh, Danielle (Kade) Cochran of Richton; grandchildren, Logan (Dacota) Penton of Richton, Caleb Penton and Tyler Penton of Petal, Sadey Malone of Richton, Adelynn, Evadean and Hinckley Carona, all of Hammond, LA, Annaleigh and Emmalyn Jones of Raleigh; brother, Michael Hall of Bogalusa, LA; sisters, Linda (Jeff) Talley of Scottsdale, AZ, Deborah McNeese of Bogalusa, LA, and Sandra Carey of Federal Heights, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Muriel Hall.

Mrs. Mitchell was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and she always said her biggest accomplishments in this life were her children. Her favorite name was MawMaw and when her health allowed, she never missed a function for her grandchildren, she loved them more than life itself.
