Bobbie Dale Smith, age 75, of Leakesville, passed from this life on October 25, 2025, at his beloved home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 21, 1950, in the Avera Community.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Smith; his loving children, Robbie (Traci) Smith, Wyatt (Marlena) Smith, and Tabatha (Lance) Gavin; and his cherished grandchildren, Missy Lane Smith and Annzlee Dale Gavin. He is also survived by his brothers, Don Smith and Rickey (Susan) Smith; his sister, Janice (Nicky) Cassidy; and a host of extended family members and an untold number of dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.C. and Wynema Smith, and his brother, Zack Smith.
Bobbie Dale worked for several years at Ingalls Shipbuilding both before and after serving his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He later built a 30-year career in the oilfield as a mechanic electrician before becoming disabled in 2007.
Bobbie Dale had a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tending to his farm. Above all, he deeply loved his family and treasured every moment spent with them—especially when spoiling his grandchildren.
He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and the steadfast love he showed to everyone who knew him.

A service to celebrate the wonderful live of Mr. Smith will be held at a later date.
