Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024, in the Jones and Son Chapel of Moselle for Mr. Billy Patterson, age 82, of Moselle. Mr. Patterson was called home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 3, 2024, in his home surrounded by his family. Bro. Ethan Patterson and Bro. Pat Patterson will officiate with burial to follow in the Moselle Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Jonathan Patterson, B.J. Patterson, Rudy Patterson, Lonnie Reid, Jason "Jay" Jarrell, Jr. and Jason Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Broome, Randy Patterson and Danny Thornton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, H.H. and Nancy Patterson; daughter, Nancy "Polly" Patterson; brothers, Grady, Buck, Amos, and Tom Patterson; sister, Ruby Griffith and great-granddaughter, Ivory Broome.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Betty Patterson of Moselle; son, Billy Wayne (Tina) Patterson of Moselle; daughters Charlene Patterson and Carolyn Patterson both of Moselle; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sister, Betty Jean Griffith and brother, H.H. "Junior" Patterson.

Mr. Patterson was a member of Charity Baptist Church of Moselle where he served as a deacon and elder. He married his sweetheart, Betty Ann Patterson, on February 14, 1961, and delighted in 62 years of wedded bliss. He enjoyed serving the Lord and spreading joy to all those around him. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He always wore a smile and was willing to cut a joke. He loved to laugh and share that gift with others.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Jones and Son Funeral Home of Moselle.
