Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2024, in the Jones and Son Chapel of Moselle for Mr. Billy Jackson, age 83, of Seminary. Mr. Jackson passed from this life on Thursday, July 31, 2024 at his home. Bro. Steve Mackender will officiate with burial to follow in the Walters Cemetery of Seminary. Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Aaron Welch, Chad Jackson, Justin Scruggs, Jackson Hill, Hunter Grantham and Hayes Grantham. Honorary pallbearers will be David Scruggs, Harmon Hill, Rickey Hill and Lynn Jackson.

Billy Jackson was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Jackson; son Billy Michael Jackson; grandson, Michael Wayne Jackson; parents, Charlie Leon and Hattie Grace Jackson; brothers, Bobby Jackson and C.L. Jackson; sister, Charleen Buckalew and step- mother, Naomi Jackson.

He is survived by his son, Larry (Lynn) Jackson of Seminary; daughters, Denine (David) Scruggs of Ellisville, Pamela (Rickey) Hill of Ellisville and Dedra (Harmon) Hill of Sandersville; grandchildren, Billy Aaron (Ashley) Welch, Chad (Brandi) Jackson, Brandy (Adam) Grantham, Justin Scruggs, Jackson Hill and Sydnie Hill; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and beloved dog, "PeeWee".

Billy loved being with his family. He especially enjoyed cooking for his grandchildren and hosting family reunions at his lake. Gardening vegetables and farming were his favorite hobbies and he took great pride in all his pets and farm animals. He was a fun-loving man full of jokes and humor and showed this by affectionally giving nicknames to many people he met. Billy was a hard-working family man who spent many years as an iron worker and logger. He was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Kathleen, for 64 years, a wonderful daddy and an even better Pawpaw. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Seminary.
