Services for Mrs. Bettye Nobles, age 87, of Sumrall, will be held Friday, June 27, 2025 at West Black Creek Baptist Church in Sumrall.  Mrs. Nobles passed from this life on June 24, 2025 at her residence.  Bro. Brent King, Bro. Everette Broome, Bro. Bill Morris, and Bro. Joe Lott will officiate the service and burial will follow in West Black Creek Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Forrest Woods, John Whitehead, Bryce Lindgren, Phil Lott, Caden Nobles, and Mark Nobles.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Williamson, Ben Guthrie, and Bobby Guthrie.

Mrs. Nobles was a devoted servant of the Lord leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and kindness.  She was a charter member of West Black Creek Baptist Church, where she faithfully served her Lord for 62 years. Her unwavering commitment to her church and community was an inspiration to all who knew her.  An avid gardener and proud member of the Arbor Day Society, Mrs. Nobles found joy in nurturing both plants and people. Her garden was a reflection of her spirit — vibrant, giving, and full of life.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, deeply loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warmth, wisdom, and generosity will be dearly missed and forever cherished.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mitchell Nobles; grandson, Anthony Nobles; parents, Harvey and Gladys Williamson; sister, Diane Thompson; and brothers, Rankin Williamson and Gary Williamson.

She is survived by her husband, Theron Nobles of Sumrall; daughters, Phyllis Nobles of Hattiesburg and Gina (John) Whitehead of Sumrall; grandchildren, Monica Gerald, Mary Ann (Bryce) Lindgren, Forrest Woods, and Miranda Nobles; a host of great grandchildren; and sister, Frankie Ruppert of Moselle.
