Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2025, in the Moselle Memorial Gardens Cemetery for Betty Jean Pulliam, age 89, of Laurel. Mrs. Pulliam passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at her residence. Dr. French Tripp will officiate with the burial to follow the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Williamson, Mack Mozingo, Christopher McCree, and Gordon Cole.

Betty was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Church for over 40 years. She retired as a CNA from Jones County Rest Home and worked at Big Yank Corporation in Hattiesburg for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harper and Nancy Patterson; daughter, Darlene Griffith; brothers, Grady Patterson, Tom Patterson, Billy Patterson, Buck Patterson and Amos Patterson and sister, Ruby Griffith.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Cole (Gordon) of Laurel and Angie Anderson (Darby) of Atlantic, IA; son, Herbert Griffith of Laurel,  the Baby Lexie Cole of Laurel, 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and brother, H.H. Patterson, Jr. of Collins.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 29 2025, at Jones and Son Funeral Home of Moselle.
