Services for Mrs. Betty Blankinchip Dueitt, age 92, of Lucedale, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in Leakesville.  Mrs. Dueitt passed from this life on September 8, 2026 at her residence.  Bro. Gary Hickman and Bro. Joseph Ladner will officiate the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Jace Howard, Kade Howard, Clayton Dueitt, Gavin Pugh, Matt Eubanks, Jason Howard, and Bradley Crain.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Walley, Casey Myers, and Tim Hicks.

Mrs. Dueitt worked for many years as secretary to the Greene County Superintendent of Education before later serving as secretary at First Baptist Church of Leakesville, where she faithfully worked for many years. Her dedication and kindness touched the lives of many throughout her years of service.

A longtime member of Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, she shared her love of music by serving as the church pianist for many years. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she cherished the fellowship and relationships she found through her church family.

Outside of her work and church, Mrs. Dueitt enjoyed reading, sewing, and painting. She especially treasured time spent with her family and created many cherished memories with those she loved. She also enjoyed traveling, with trips to the mountains holding a special place in her heart.

Mrs. Dueitt will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love for her family, her faithful service to her church and community, and the many lives she touched throughout her years. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and treasured memories that will remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Dueitt; son, Kevin Dueitt; grandsons, Wesley Dueitt and Tommy Piazza; father, Allen Blankinchip; mother, Ruby Denmark Blankinchip; brothers, Laverne Blankinchip and Jack Blankinchip; and sister, Maxine Lee.

She is survived by her daughters, Marcia (Danny) Hicks and Tammy (Glenn) Hicks, both of Leakesville; son, Theron (Pam) Dueitt of Petal; grandchildren, Lesley (Casey) Myers of Mobile, Kylie (Jason) Howard of Leakesville, Tim Hicks of Mobile, Megan (Dustin) Walley of Neely, Tara (Matt) Eubanks of Leakesville, Gerin (Gavin) Pugh of Leakesville, Katelan (Bradley) Crain of Brandon, Clayton (Maggie) Dueitt of Petal, Marissa Dueitt of Palm Dale, CA, and Aden Dueitt of Palm Dale, CA; great grandchildren, Jace, Ali, Kade, Kenley, Adisyn, Wesley, Kaylin, Gatlin, Brix Beau, Colton, Madison, Jack, and Bryson; great-great grandchildren, Korte, Waylon, and Hadley; and brother, Clymouth Blankinchip of Citronelle.
