Services for Mrs. Betty Beasley, age 72, of New Augusta, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at New Augusta Methodist Church.  Mrs. Beasley passed from this life on February 7, 2025 at her residence.  Rev. Barry Dickerson will officiate the service and burial will follow in New Augusta Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Edward Pierce, Aaron James, and Tyler Fisher.

Mrs. Beasley was a member of the New Augusta Methodist Church.  Before retirement, she was an LPN for over 50 years and also a substitute teacher at New Augusta Elementary School for 9 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jefferson Davis and Nellie Maurice Howard; and brother, Jimmy Howard.

She is survived by her husband, Doug Beasley of New Augusta; sons, Walter Lee Beasley of New Augusta, Richard Beasley of New Augusta, and Edward Pierce of New Augusta; grandson, Jonathan Beasley of New Augusta; granddaughter, Joyce Beasley (Aaron) James of Richton; and great grandchildren, Ian Rayner, Piper James, and Willow James, all of Richton.
