Services for Mrs. Bertha Rae McLain, age 94, of Braxton, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Jones and Son Chapel in Richton.  Mrs. McLain passed from this life on June 10, 2024 at her residence.  Bro. Chuck McLain will officiate the service and burial will follow in Edwards Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Jackie Cowart, Bobby Cowart, Jordan Sanders, Josh Bailey, Ryan McLain, Christopher McLain, and Hunter McLain as alternate.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Joel Bailey, Carson Edwards, Bryce Cowart, and Hayden Cowart.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Bobbie Nell Cowart; son, Mitchell "Bo" McLain; parents, George and Mellie Dykes; brothers, Joe Dale Dykes and Ulis George Dykes; and sisters, Laverne Touchstone and Bernice Faye Odom.

She is survived by her children, Elaine (James) Bailey of Braxton, MS, Jerry (Deborah) McLain of Brandon, MS, and Tina (Tracy) McLain of Memphis, TN; 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren.
