Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in the Shelton Baptist Church of Moselle for Mr. Arthur Michael "Mike" Wilson. Serving as pallbearers will be David Wilson, Tommy Wilson, Marcus Wade, Bo Wilson, Scott Wilson and Nolan Murry.

Arthur Michael "Mike" Wilson, 85, of Moselle, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Glendale, Mississippi, Mike was one of twelve children. A natural athlete, he excelled in every sport during high school and earned several scholarships offers to play ball for other high schools and colleges. While in high school, he was being scouted by the Orioles to play professional baseball until he injured his arm pitching. In 1961, he met and married the love of his life, Faye LeGuewn ("Gwen")Wilson, with whom he shared 64 years of marriage.

Shortly after their marriage, Mike proudly joined the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War and being stationed in Japan. After returning home, he began a long career with Borden Chemicals in Geismar, LA, where he worked for more than 30 years before retiring as plant operator.

Mike was the proud father of David Wilson (Nan) and Thomas Wilson (Ashley), and the beloved grandfather of Christian and Chase Wilson. He loved his family fiercely and dedicated his life to providing for them. There was no work he wouldn't do and no challenge he wouldn't face for those he loved.

He was a member of Shelton Baptist Church of Moselle. He taught his family the value of hard work, faith, and perseverance. Even through years of pain, Mike never stopped fighting—his strength and willpower, which inspired everyone who knew him. His long marriage to Gwen was built on loyalty, faith, and love, setting an example that will last generations.

Mike loved to laugh, loved to fish, dearly enjoyed country music and was always ready with advice or a story. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Shelton Baptist Church.
