Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Sand Hill for Mrs. Annie Junia Smith, age 94, of Richton, who passed from this life on January 19, 2024.  Bro. Jon Montalvo and Bro. Nick Chathom will officiate with burial to follow at Sand Hill Cemetery.   Serving a pallbearers will be Joshua Smith, William Smith, Joseph McBride, Jordan McBride, Denzel Walley, and Ronny Walley.  Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Anna Grace Smith.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, I.W. "Bill" Smith; son, Terrell Smith; grandson, Jonathan McBride; and parents, Arthur and Annie Walley.

She is survived by her son, Mark (Wendi) Smith of Hattiesburg; daughter, Angela (Gregg) McBride of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Joshua Smith and William Smith, Anna Grace Smith, Joseph McBride, and Jordan McBride.

Mrs. Smith taught the elementary class at Sand Hill School for 35 years.  She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Sand Hill where she served as pianist and Ladies Sunday School teacher.  She truly loved family and spending time with them.  Her servants' heart was always visible in her love for cooking big meals.  She enjoyed her cats and taking care of them.

Visitation for Mrs. Smith will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 22, 2024, at Jones & Son Funeral Home in Richton.
