Ann Shannon Massa, age 64, of Ellisville, Mississippi, passed away on November 6, 2025, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.  Ann was born on March 29, 1961, in Houma, Louisiana.

Ann dedicated over 30 years of her life to caring for others as a registered nurse and critical care specialist, serving in hospitals throughout Mississippi and Louisiana. Her compassion, skill, and strength touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues.

Outside of her nursing career, Ann's greatest passion was horses. She found joy and peace in training, showing, and simply being around them. A proud and active member of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA), she formed lifelong friendships within the equestrian community and cherished every moment spent with her horses.

Ann will be remembered for her generous heart, her unwavering dedication to her family, and her love of life.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years, Kelly Massa; two daughters, Lynn (Chris) Holliman of Greenville, MS, and Margaret (Travis) Hall of Petal, MS; three step-grandchildren; brothers, Jimmy (Brenda) Shannon and Harry (Cathy) Shannon; sister, Pam (Cliff) Bakke; and her lifelong best friend, Lisa Causey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bell Shannon, and her father and mother-in-law, Carol and Norma Lynn Massa.

Funeral services honoring her wonderful life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2025 in the Moselle chapel of Jones and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Edward Ruffin officiating.  Interment will follow in the Moselle Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation for Mrs. Massa will be held from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. Monday, also at the funeral home.
