Services for Mrs. Alma Jo Howell, age 75, of Leakesville, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 19, 2024 at the First United Pentecostal Church of Leakesville.  Mrs. Howell passed from this life on December 15, 2024 in Leakesville.  Bro. Myron Shilling and Bro. Irvis Dale Everett will officiate the service and interment will follow in McLeod - Magnolia Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Pierce, Dean Pierce, Nathan Pierce, Marcus Pierce, Taler Smith, Jason Green and Jeff Pierce as alternate.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Landry Pierce, Lincoln Styron, and Drake Green.

Mrs. Howell worked in Dietz Drugstore and then Huff Pharmacy for several years.  She was also a personal caregiver for many years, working at Brookwood Manor and then Greene Rural Health Center.  She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Leakesville.  Her infectious laughter and smile will always remain in the hearts of her family and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Maggie Dee Pierce; brothers, Buddy Pierce, Willie D. Pierce, Albert Pierce, and Stanley Pierce; and sisters, Geneva Holland and Patsy Crocker.

She is survived by her husband, Mitch Howell of Leakesville; daughters, Jan (Kimble) Green of Leakesville and Lauren (Marcus) Pierce of Richton; grandchildren, Haley Green of Mobile, AL, Jillian (Taler) Smith of Waynesboro, Jason (Mallory) Green of Lucedale, Landry Pierce of Richton, Lilly Pierce of Richton, and Madelyn Pierce of Richton; great grandchildren, Lincoln, Drake, Johnny, Jennings, Ashlynn, Ellynjay, and Amelia; siblings, Elizabeth Clark, John Pierce, and Mack Pierce; and a host of nieces and nephews.
