Alison Jean Blackburn Read, 35, of Moselle, MS passed away on September 19, 2026. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2026, at Open Door Baptist Church of Moselle, 1832 Monroe Road, Moselle, MS 39459. Bro. Bill Brown will officiate with burial to follow in the Open Door Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Atkinson, Donald Atkinson, Samuel Jordan, Jerry Wren, Joseph King, Zachary Archer and Bryan Nicholson.

Alison was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. Her life centered on the people she loved, and the relationships she shared with her family will forever be treasured by all who knew her.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Jordan Andrew Read; daughters, Aubree and Matalann; stepdaughters, Christian Jade Nicholson (Bryan) of Petal and Marleigh Read of Moselle, and grandchildren, Cason, Cassie, Bryer Nicholson, and Atlas Williamson.

She is also survived by her parents, Matthew and Jena Blackburn of Moselle; in-laws, Dr. James Read and Sandy Read of Ellisville, and brother, Matthew Blackburn of Moselle.

Alison was blessed with a family whose bonds extended far beyond titles. Her uncle Bill Brown and Aunt Gail played a special role in raising her and held a cherished place in her life. She grew up alongside her cousins, Eric, Boomer and Chris, who were cousins by name but brothers at heart. Their bond endured throughout Alison's life and remained an important part of who she was.

Alison dearly loved her Open Door Baptist Church family. The church was much more than a place she attended; it was a community of people she loved. She especially treasured her "Sunday School Sisters" and the fellowship, friendship, laughter, and love they shared. They held a special place in Alison's heart and were truly family to her.

Alison's 35 years were far too few, but the love she gave cannot be measured by the number of years she was here. Her memory will live on through Jordan, her girls, grandchildren, and the many family members, church family, and friends whose lives were touched by hers. She will be deeply loved, deeply missed, and forever remembered.

Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2026, at Open Door Baptist Church.

Jones and Son Funeral Home of Moselle is in charge of the services.
