Services for Mr. Albert Gerald "Neighbor" Shows will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Bethel Freewill Baptist Church.  Bro. Scott Morris will officiate the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Derek Conway, Chase Henderson, Brandon Walters, Scott Smith, Kyle Kittrell, and Kirk Dueitt.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Alec Knight, Taylor Shows, and James Morris.

Albert Gerald "Neighbor" Shows, of Richton, was born on April 21, 1947 and passed from this life on June 16, 2025.  He was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed training deer hunting hounds and spending time deer hunting with his fellow hunters.  He was especially eager to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, whether it was a holiday or birthday celebration or just to simply kick back with a couple in his lap to read them a storybook.  He was always prepared to selflessly go above and beyond to ensure family was his priority.  He was a retired veteran of the Mississippi Army National Guard and a veteran of the United States Navy where he served in the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. "Pete"  and Lavonne Shows; daughter, Kelly Shows; brothers, Benny "Coon" Shows and Ray "Hippie" Shows.

He is survived by his wife, Dot Shows; daughters, Tracey (Darrell) Whisenhunt of Richton, Stacey (Carroll) Walters of Ovett, and Kristy (Jason) Murphy of Richton; grandchildren, Nicole (Chase) Henderson, Amanda (Scott) Smith, Derek (Jody) Conway, Amber Walters (James), Hayden (Kyle) Kittrell, Brandon (Regan) Walters, and Kailynn (Kirk) Dueitt; 17 great grandchildren and two on the way; brothers, David (Louise) Shows, Marvin Shows, and Carl Shows, all of Richton; and sisters, Linda Bramblett and Dianne Kitchens, both of New Augusta.
