Services for Rev. A.J. Conway, age 85, of the Buck Creek Community, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 18, 2025 at Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in the Buck Creek Community.  Bro. Norman Nowell and Bro. Greg Hodge will officiate the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be David Conway, Hoss Conway, Jeff Conway, Preston Shows, Ben Blackwell, Colby Clark and Zach Stevens as alternate.

Bro. Conway preached and shared the Gospel for over 50 years.  He worked for many years at Big Yank Corporation and also at several other jobs.  He loved to fly airplanes, especially his homemade ultralight.  He enjoyed deer hunting and spending time outside.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Conway; parents, Marion and Pearlie Conway; sister, Joyce Conway Walters; and nephew, infant Walters.

He is survived by his son, William (Shelia) Robinson of Richton; grandchildren, Katlyn (Preston) Shows and James Robinson, both of Richton, Hunter Jones and Jakob (Rachel) Jones; great grandchildren, Addi Shows, Noah Shows, and Waylon Shows; brother, Don Conway; nieces, Rhonda Hust and Gwen Wilks; and nephew, Jeff Conway.
